Autumn Leaves

Japanese follows English.

Some go to famous places to see autumn leaves while others enjoy them in their neighborhood. I'm one of the latter. These are autumn leaves in a small park in my neighborhood.

I've been stressed out these days and wasn't sure if I would be able to enjoy autumn leaves, but I was wrong. These beautiful yellow, orange, red, and green colors allowed me to forget what's going on just for a moment.

Windmill Pink (Silene Gallica)

Japanese follows English.

These are windmill pink flowers (Silene gallica). They usually flower in May and June. Like other plants, however, the windmill pink there has flowered in November.

White Bush Clovers with a Pale Grass Blue Butterfly

Japanese follows English.

This is white bush clover with a pale grass blue butterfly on it. Pink bush clovers are common across Japan, so I was lucky to see the white ones plus such a beautiful butterfly on it😊! Although you may not be able to see in the picture, the butterfly, as the name suggests, is pale blue and beautiful!

Morning Glory

Japanese follows English.

I wrote about morning glories in mid-October and that many Japanese believed morning glories flower in summer but they actually bloom from summer to autumn. But now it's mid-November and they're still in bloom more beautifully in deeper purple!

Bamboo-Leaf Oak (Quercus Myrsinifolia)

Japanese follows English.

I love the maccha green baby acorns like those in the second photo, but love a little bigger and older one like this in the first photo, showing such a beautiful gradient of green and brown colors😊!

Preparation for Winter - Canadian Goldenrod (Solidago Canadensis)

Japanese follows English.

I wrote about Canadian goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) last month but at that time, they had only bright yellow flowers. And this morning I found some of them have started to prepare for winter like this, so fluffy!

Japanese Camellia (Camellia Japonica)

Japanese follows English.

I've seen Japanese camellia fruits many times, but not such a beautifully shaped one. It looks like chocolate, doesn't it? I couldn't tell Japanese camellia flowers from sasanqua camellias', but now I can because I've seen many of both. Experience is the best teacher.

Wine Red Dahlia

Japanese follows English.

Usually I'm not interested in gorgeous flowers that much, but this dahlia is so intriguing because of the color. Deep colors, like the wine red of this dahlia and the purple of clematis, are so deep that I sometimes can't take my eyes off them.

"Season Defying😆" Hydrangeas

Japanese follows English.

Do you do something for anti-aging? If so, take a look at the hydrangea. It's so anti-aging or season defiant, isn't it? You can see how it's so rare by looking at the 2nd photo! I'm not that interested in anti-aging but still want to know why only this bloom can keep such a beautiful color.  😆

Clematis

Japanese follows English.

These are clematis. The flowers are deep purple (so beautiful!) but they're poisonous. As the name "clematis" suggests, these flowers are in the same genus as that of sweet autumn clematis
