Big Smile of Lion on Top of Ivory Wine Vessel

Japanese follows English.

If you are told to "say cheese," you should smile like this!!!

Say cheese!

Can you tell what it is? It's the top of a wine container carved from ivory in the 18th century in the Qing dynasty. I can't imagine drinking wine from such a gorgeous ivory container...

To make a big smile like this lion, you need to:
- create the right mood;
- set your face to your best advantage;
- open your mouth so a small part of your teeth is exposed and stretch your mouth as wide as you can; and
- while doing this, keep your eyes open wide.

Could you do that? If not, look at this friendly lion and do this exercise everyday. The vessel is on show at Tokyo National Museum
