White Dahlia Means "Gratitude" 白いダリアの花言葉は「感謝」

This is dahlia in my neighborhood. I first thought it was a chrysanthemum and that was close. Dahlia is a member of the Asteraceae family and related to chrysanthemum. The only conspicuous difference between them is the shape of leaves.

In Japan, dahlia is named "Tenjiku botan," meaning Indian peony after the shape of the flower and has different meanings depending on the color, i.e., red means elegance while white gratitude and yellow grace. I saw white ones, so, taking this opportunity, I expressed my gratitude to my husband saying, "Thank you." He said, "For what? Including my nose picking?" This is my husband....

近所のダリアです。最初菊かと思ったのですが、葉の形が違います。和名では花の形が似てるので天竺牡丹と呼ばれるそうです。

花言葉は、赤のダリアは「華麗」、 白は「感謝」、黄色は「優美」。というわけで先ほど主人に「いつもありがとう」と言いました。すると「何それ？」と言われたので「全てに」と答えたら「鼻ホジホジも？」と返されました。愛すべき私の主人です｡｡｡
