Something You should Do Alone 一人で歩きます！

Many things need, or are better to have, two or more people. "Tea for two" needs two. You may like to have meals with someone rather than eating alone. But when it comes to going for a walk, I wanna say this out loud. "YOU SHOULD WALK ALONE!!!" 

It was on Saturday, and because my husband usually stays up late on non-work nights, I didn't expect him to get up that early and more surprisingly to tell me that he wanted to walk with me. I go out for a walk early every morning unless it rains, which is what I have done since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Japan about a year ago. 

We went out at around 6:30 a.m. He said he would follow me, who walk every morning and therefore know well about good routes. Ten minutes later, however, things started to change. He started to lag behind, making me sometimes turn around to ask if he was okay. Thirty minutes later, by which we had walked only 2,500 steps, he got further slow, saying he was hungry. He got grumpy when I was taking photos of flowers. 

After having walked 5,000 steps, which is my minimum steps a day, I gave up and we went to a coffee shop nearby famous for good banh mi sandwiches, to shut his mouth up😝. Finishing an avocado sandwich and a curry bread roll (or "curry pan" in Japanese), he got satisfied and ran back home... I will never ever go out for a walk with him.

We just faced up to each other.... ただ向き合ってました｡｡｡

世の中二人でやるものはたくさんあります。「二人でお茶を」もそうですね。ご飯も一人は嫌という人もいるでしょう。でもこれだけは言いたい。散歩は一人に限る！

ついこの前の土曜日でした。いつも昼頃まで寝ている主人がウォーキングに行く準備をしていた私に「僕も行く」と言ったのです。6時半ごろ出発しました。

ところが20分程すると彼の歩みが遅くなり始めました。何度も「大丈夫？」と声をかけ、よくよく聞くと「お腹が空いた」と。まだ2,500歩しか歩いてませんよ！私は1日5,000～6,000歩は歩きたいのですが、あまりにうるさいので近くのパン屋さんに行き、サンドイッチを食べました。（彼はカレーパンも！）もう絶対一緒に歩きません！散歩は一人に限ります。
