Japanese Maple - Not only Leaves But Berries are Beautiful😊

Japanese follows English.

In Japan, acer palmatum or maple usually attracts attention in autumn when the leaves turn red. But look at the color contrast between the green leaves and the red berries!!!

Japanese maple fresh spring leaves!!

The red and green contrast is eye-catching

Japan has a long history of appreciating the beauty of red maple and other leaves in autumn. People love red fall leaves so much that they call fresh green leaves "blue red fall leaves." This is so wrong in two ways!! But there are reasons.

First, as I said, Japanese people have appreciated the beauty of red autumn leaves too long to forget the red color even when looking at spring green leaves.

Secondly, Japanese used to call green and blue things both "blue," so they still call some green things blue, such as "green light" and "green apple," "blue light" and "blue apple."

Whether blue or green, the spring maple leaves are so beautiful, making us happy and cheerful and me skipping😉!!
