Spiraea Thunbergii (Baby's Breath Spirea) 雪柳（ユキヤナギ）

These 1cm flowers are spiraea thunbergii, Thunberg spiraea or Thunberg's meadowsweet, or more commonly baby's breath spirea. So, tiny, white and pretty!

In Japanese, it's called "Snow willow" because the white color of the flower reminds people of snow while its slender arching branches willow. Spring reminds Japanese people of cherry blossoms first, but baby's breath spirea also heralds the arrival of spring😊

雪柳です。ちっちゃいけど真っ白い花は存在感があります。名前から冬の花と誤解してしまいそうですが、春を告げる植物の一つだそうです。梅や桜だけじゃないんですね😊
