Aulacophora Nigripennis on a Chinese Cucumber Flower 黄烏瓜の上にクロウリハムシ

I wrote about a flower of Trichosanthes kirilowii or more commonly known as Chinese cucumber in my neighborhood on June 23. So, this post focuses on not the flower but an Aulacophora nigripennis on it I saw not only this time but also on June 23.

But something bothered me. Why are they always on Chinese cucumber flowers? The reason is in its Japanese name "kuro uriha mushi," meaning "black gourd-leaf bug"!! The bug loves gourds!!😆😊 (I do, too!!)

先日（6月23日）、近所で咲いていた黄烏瓜（キカラスウリ）について書きました。ということで今日は黄烏瓜ではなく、花の上の黒瓜葉虫（クロウリハムシ）にフォーカスしてみました。実は今日だけでなく何度か見かけたことがり、どうしてこの虫いつもキカラスウリの上にいるのかな？と思っていたのですが、ググって名前を知って納得。瓜が好きだったんですね！私と一緒です😆😊！
