Japanese Laurel (Aucuba Japonica) 青木（アオキ）

These are fruits of Japanese laurel (Aucuba japonica). I was looking for its tiny star-shaped flowers at first, but I was mistaken. Japanese laurel flowers from April to May. Instead, however, I found these lovely fruits!

アオキ（青木）の実です。最初、花（ちっちゃい星形）は咲いてないかなと探していたのですが完全な勘違い。花が咲くのは4月から5月でした。でも代わりにこんなに可愛い実を発見できたので満足です。
