Japanese Snowbell (Styrax Japonicus) エゴノキ

英語の後に日本語が続きます。

It's been two years since I last photographed Japanese snowbell flowers (Styrax japonicus). Last year, the blossoms in my neighborhood had fallen due to strong winds before I took photos. The tree is called "Egonoki," which means a "bitter tree" due to the bitter fruit.

2年ぶりのエゴノキです。去年は強風で、写真を撮る前に散ってしまいました。エゴノキの名前は実に「えぐみ」があることに由来するそうです。
