I knew that the camellia season had started but didn't notice the trees are producing so many flowers like these! As you may know, the sasanqua camellia and the Japanese camellia look similar to each other but are different in several ways, one of which is how a flower dies. A sasanqua flower dies with petals falling off one by one like shown in the 1st photo while a Japanese camellia flower falls off in its entirety.

サザンカがこんなに咲いていたことに気付いていませんでした。見るといつも思うのが椿との違いです。1枚目の写真の地面には花びらがいっぱい。山茶花ですね。
