The environment has a lot to do with the growth of plants, doesn't it? These are blue toadflax (Nuttallanthus canadensis), much taller with chubbier flowers (3rd photo) than the blue toadflax I saw in another place before. Is this because of the amount of sunlight or the strength of wind? I don't know but my perception of blue toadflax has completely changed from "fragile" to "(unexpectedly) tough."

環境って大事ですね。以前別の場所で見た松葉雲蘭（マツバウンラン）はもっと背が低くて花も小さかったのですが、最近見かけるものは背も高く、花もぽっちゃり（3枚目）。「儚い」から「案外タフ」へと印象が変わりました。
