Henbit Deadnettle (Lamium Amplexicaule) ホトケノザ（仏の座）

It had rained the previous day. I found water droplets on flowers on henbit deadnettle (Lamium amplexicaule) and zoomed in on one of them to see the inside. Sadly (and naturally), nobody or nothing was there. 

Henbit deadnettle is so adorable for its tininess and the unique shape of, and spots on, the flower, which plays an important role to attract pollinators, like bees.

Its Japanese name means "lotus seat for Buddha." How lovely would it be to sit on it!😊

These are henbit deadnettle (Lamium amplexicaule), one of my favorite plants! It was too hot this summer and that's why the henbit deadnettle, which usually flowers from March to June, has started to flower at this time of year. It's lucky for me to be able to see such adorable flowers in autumn again!

These are Lamium amplexicaule, commonly known as henbit or henbit deadnettle. Henbit should flower in spring, but they flowered in early November and today I saw them again flowering while walking in the early morning.

These are Lamium amplexicaule, commonly known as henbit deadnettle. They should flower in spring, but things change and so does the flower season. Somei Yoshino cherry trees sprouted blossoms last week across Japan because of the recent spring-like weather. No one can blame this henbit deadnettle for being confused😆.

Can you see the tiny pink flower? This is Lamium amplexicaule or more commonly known as henbit deadnettle (or common henbit or greater henbit), one of my favorite plants! 

Since I saw forget-me-nots about ten days ago, I've been keeping an eye on the ground while walking so that I don't miss any tiny plants. And that effort was rewarded!  

I love this plant for its tininess and its unique Japanese name "Lotus seat for Buddha." How lovely would it be to sit on the top of the plant!😊

This is lamium amplexicaule or more commonly henbit deadnettle (or common henbit or greater henbit), one of my favorite flowers! So tiny (about 1 cm) and pretty isn't it!
