They are so small, so they may be ignored... But still, they live their own lives, some even difficult lives in different ways.
1. Long headed poppy
It looks so pure and innocent, but don't judge a book by its cover..... Several local governments in Japan have designated this orange poppy as an invasive plant that can transform ecosystems.

2. Spreading hedgeparsley
In Japanese, it's called "bush lice" because its seeds can attach to clothes like lice can. Even so, this Japanese name is terrible. I would name this small flower "pink sparkler"! What do you think?

This violet is so noble, isn't it? According to "About colors," violet represents the future, imagination, dreams, which I believe we need most now!

4. Henbit
It's called in Japanese "Buddha's seat." A very nice name, isn't it? As I wrote about spreading hedgeparsley (2 above) and large field speedwell in another post, some Japanese plant names are terrible (like spreading hedgeparsley being "bush lice" and large field speedwell "large balls of a dog"). I wish the Japanese botanist who named henbit would have named spreading hedgeparsley and large field speedwell.

5. White enkianthus
It's called "lamp azalea" in Japan because the flower shape is similar to the shape of lamps used in Japan's imperial court long time ago. The flower is about 1 cm long. So tiny for a lamp!

Every one of these flowers is so tiny, but beautiful and unique! I really appreciated them just being there...

３はマツバウンラン。色がとっても清々しいです。
４は見た目通りの仏の座。私も座ってみたい（笑）。そして
５はドウダンツツジ。「灯台躑躅」、「満天星躑躅」と書きます。
