Red Roses Out Of Place 場違いな赤いバラ

I'm not interested in roses very much. They're beautiful but too gorgeous to take up for this blog. But this rose tree, which is now in full bloom, caught my eye. Just by itself, in front of an old building, it seemed a bit out of place to me. I also wonder who has planted and taken care of it.

Roses are gorgeously beautiful in every way, so it was surprising to find their fruits in such a funny shape. I thought (embarrassingly) that rose hips were the name of some herb and never thought that they were FRUITS of roses. I love rose hip tea and sometimes top yogurt with rose hips after brewing them.

A Large and Old Rose Tree 大きくて古い薔薇の木

This is a large rose tree with many red rose blooms, but this post is not about these roses but where the tree is. The tree is in the garden of an apartment complex to be demolished soon due to the redevelopment of the area. These days, money can buy anything but not something that needs time to grow, like this rose tree as tall as a 3-story building, can't it? 

The garden is 50 years old and has firethorn (gigantic!), cherry, plum, orange, chocolate vine, and others, some of which are so large because of not only their age but the tender care devoted by the owners, who've already moved into a new complex nearby. I don't want to forget these plants, so I'm writing this post to keep records of them.

I wondered why I saw many roses, so googled, learning that roses flower from May to June. I also recently found that honey bouquet roses, which are cream yellow, are as beautiful as red roses.

Speaking of roses, in my college days, two boys gave me a bouquet of red roses for my birthday. We watched some film and had dinner together. I don't recall what we watched or ate, and I don't understand why the two boys, who were friends, asked me out together. And this happened again with, that time, a different pair of boys...

Was I so difficult to be with one on one? It still remains as a question.....

バラです。なぜ「こんなにたくさんバラが？」と思ってググったら、バラって５月から６月に咲くんですね。知りませんでした。ハニーブーケローズを見て黄色のバラの美しさを知ったのも最近です。

それで思い出したのですが、大学生の頃、誕生日に男の子二人に誘われ、三人で映画を見てご飯を食べました。真っ赤なバラのブーケももらいました。そして似たようなことがもう一度｡｡｡ 別の男の子たちからでした。１対１で誘うのそんなに怖かったのかな｡｡｡ 今となっては懐かしい思い出です｡

Honey Bouquet Rose ハニーブーケローズ

These are honey bouquet roses I found a week ago in my neighborhood. It'd been awhile since I had last seen roses.

Pale yellow is so sweet! 淡い黄色が素敵です！

I love roses (who doesn't?) and I often say so, but it was until I saw them that I realized when I said I loved roses, I meant "red" roses. How foolish was I! These cream yellow roses changed my perception of roses by showing me how pretty and elegant they are!!

ハニーローズというバラです。バラというと赤いバラというイメージが強かったのですが、ふんわりしたこういうバラも素敵ですね。バラのイメージが変わりました😃

Deep Red Rose スターシップ ディープ ローズ？赤いバラ？

Japan has not yet declared a state of emergency, but strongly requested that the public stay at home unless necessary. That made me give up on weekend walks and since then I have been a little depressed and needing some solace. So when I found this red rose-like flower early morning while walking to a convenience store nearby, I stopped and stared it for a while. 

Deep red rose or starship deep rose?

Before leaving there, I found a tag next to it which says, "Starship deep rose," but at home, I only found images of "starship deep rose" on the internet all different from this, which made me wonder what the real name of this beautiful flower in blood red is......?

A red rose, an unmistakable expression of love, conveys deep emotions and can be used to convey respect, admiration or devotion, while a "deep" red rose can be used to convey heartfelt regret and sorrow.... Source: the flower expert

The language of flowers made me think again. This time about if I regret anything...

週末歩くのが趣味だったのですが、最近は自粛で少々気が滅入り気味。そんな時、朝お買い物に行って見かけたのがこれです。

名札には「スターシップ ディープ ローズ」とあったのですが、ネットの画像とは似ても似つかず。深紅のバラでしょうか。いずれにせよ、その美しさにしばし立ち尽くしました。

赤いバラの花言葉は「愛」、「尊敬」、「敬慕」、「献身」等の深い感情だそうですが、「深紅のバラ」は「後悔」や「悲しみ」を表すとのこと。何か後悔していることがあったかしら｡｡｡ 考えさせられました。

赤いバラの日本の花言葉は「あなたを愛してます」、「愛情」、「美」、「情熱」、「熱烈な恋」です。
