Is the Emperor a Human or God? 天皇だって人間だもの

Why do so many Japanese still revere emperors? They may be good people, but are human beings who happen to born into the imperial family, living as required by law. I feel sorry for them because they are deprived of the right to live as human beings.

For example, although the current emperor is over 80 years old, he wasn't allowed to retire and had to make an official announcement to call for support for his decision to retire.

Another example is Princess Mako. She has a boyfriend, but her dad, Prince Akishino said that he and his wife wouldn't allow their daughter to marry the boyfriend unless various issues, including his mother's financial problem, were resolved. Again, as a member of the royal family, Princess Mako is deprived of a very important right to "make mistakes," which I believe is one of the most important rights as a person for, in particular, younger people.

In short, although we no longer live in the pre-war era or the war period when Japanese were taught that emperors were gods, many Japanese still treat the members of the imperial family as gods, blindly respecting them and prohibiting them from living as human beings. I particularly feel disgusted by those who use unnecessarily too polite language, e.g., oraremasu, araseraremasu, when speaking about the family to raise their own class level by elevating the imperial family to the position of gods. I find it so stupid and sad.

I'm not criticizing the current emperor or Princess Mako. As I wrote in the beginning, I rather feel sorry for them for having to live as quasi-prisoners in exchange for allowance from taxpayers' money. So, is it only me who can't help but think that this human right violation should stop now by dissolving the imperial family system?

Again I'm not blaming the imperial family for anything, but respect the current emperor Hirohito and his two sons, Crown Prince Naruhito and Prince Akishino, for their liberal ideas. Prince Akishino said last year that Daijosai, a ritual for the succession of the throne, should be financed from the family budget. I can't agree more. This religious ritual shouldn't be funded by the state money as it's against the separation of state and religion. But again, the fact that these three imperial family members are respectable has nothing to do with another fact that they are just human beings who live as required by law in exchange for receiving allowance from taxpayers. And it's wrong to treat someone better or worse just because they are from certain families, races, groups, etc. For the same reason, I despise people treating Hitler as a hero more than Hitler himself. And the saddest thing is that my mother is one such person....

Have you ever been to Asuka Historical Museum in Nara prefecture? The museum has the imperial family tree which clearly shows that their ancestors are Korean, whom many Japanese, including my mom, discriminate against for no reason. One day, I want to go to this museum with my mom. 

皇族をやたら尊敬する人がいますが全く分かりません。いい人たちかもしれませんが天皇家に生まれたというだけで私たちと同じ人間です。戦前ならいざ知らず、「ございます」とか「あらせられます」とか気持ちの悪い敬語を頻繁に使うのってどうでしょう。

それにかわいそうなのが皇族の奴隷状態。80歳超えてるのに自分の引退を自分で決められないおじいさん。ダメンズかもしれないけど恋をしている娘さんの結婚を皇室という枷で止めようとするお父さん。まあ止めるお父さんの気持ちはわかりますが、人生何事も経験。若い時に失敗するチャンスを奪われている真子さんも気の毒です。お二人とも人権を奪われています。

というわけで皇室はもう解体していいのではないでしょうか？囚人のような生き方を強制するのは非人間的です。言っておきますが皇室の方々を何ら非難しているものではありません。皇室を持ち上げる人が嫌いです。ヒトラーはもちろん嫌いだけど、彼をヒーロー扱いした人は最も嫌い、というのと同じです。特定の家族、人種、グループが偉いと思っている人を私は嫌いです。

繰り返しますが、現天皇、皇太子、秋篠宮、みなさんリベラルでいいと思います。特に秋篠宮の大嘗祭についての発言は驚きました。政教分離ですからね。でもそれとこれは別。結局彼らは生活費を得るために行事に参加し、儀式を行っているのも事実です。その部分を認識せず、皇室をセレブ扱いする人たちを私は軽蔑します。そして私の母はその一人｡｡｡｡

奈良の飛鳥資料館。皇室の家系図があってルーツが韓国にあることが描かれています。皇室の祖先が韓国（朝鮮）人だということも知らずに、韓国人のことを差別する日本人（うちの母を含め）は多いですが、みんな一度是非、飛鳥資料館に行ってほしいと思います。
