These are fruits of Dendropanax trifidus. Small, whitish green, reddish purple and dark purple fruits are so pretty. But there is another reason I like the tree. The shape of its leaves changes from triple lobed to ovate as they grow (3rd photo)!

隠れ蓑（カクレミノ）です。薄緑、紫、濃い紫の実がとってもきれいです。でもこの木が好きなのにはもう一つ理由があります。葉の形が変わるんです。若い葉は3～5裂していますが段々丸くなり楕円になります（3枚目）。年取って丸くなるのかしら？
