Camellia Japonica (Japanese Camellia) 椿（ツバキ）

This is Camellia japonica or Japanese camellia. I thought that Japanese camellia produces flowers in winter, but it actually flowers from February to April.

One of the flowers has a lot of pollen on the petals (3rd photo). Japanese camellia is not entomophilous, i.e., pollinated by insects, but ornithophilous, i.e., pollinated by birds, and mostly by warbling white eyes.

椿です。冬の花と思い込んでいたので3月半ばにこんなに綺麗に咲いているのに驚いたのですが、椿の花の時期は2月から4月なんですね。

椿は虫媒花ではなく鳥媒花。メジロが受粉を助けるそうです。花びらには花粉がいっぱい付いていました（3枚目）。
