Sky and Clouds Reduce Loneliness 空と雲は孤独を減らす

Japanese follows English.　英語の後に日本語が続きます。

The beginning of autumn always makes me feel lonely. And that makes me always look up to see the blue, azure or pitch dark sky and white clouds drifting in it, to look for my friends up above there, i.e., the sky and clouds.

I said in a previous post ("Japanese Women's Minds, and Sheep, Sardine, Mackerel, and Fish Scales") that only Japanese has nicknames for clouds, such as sardine or sheep clouds, but that's not true. English and other languages have various nicknames for clouds, too.

I listed the nicknames of cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds in several languages in the table below.

先日、ひつじ雲といわし雲について書いたのですが（女心と秋の空）、嘘を言っておりました｡｡｡ 「英語に雲の学名はあっても『ひつじ雲』や『いわし雲』のような『おつ』な言い方はない」と書きましたが、ありました。他の言語でも似たような言い方をするようなので、以下に簡単にまとめてみました。

小さい頃、空と雲が寂しさをいやしてくれました。そんなお世話になった空さん雲さんにお詫びするために、写真を数枚追加しました。空さん雲さん、ごめんなさい🙇！

ちなみに世界気象機関（World Meteorological Organization）は雲を10種類に分類しています。
