This is a balloon flower (Platycodon grandifloru). The purple is so beautiful! The name "balloon flower" is after the balloon-shaped flower buds (2nd photo).
I wrote about clasping Venus' looking-glass (Triodanis perfoliata) last month and its Japanese name is "small platycodon" because of their similar flower shapes and colors (but not the size).

桔梗（キキョウ）です。蕾が風船みたいなので英語では balloon flower と言われています。先月、桔梗草（キキョウソウ）について書きました。大きさは違いますが、確かに花、似てますね。
