Japanese snowbell (Styrax japonicus) is native to eastern Asia and can be found across Japan, producing pendulant white and pink flowers from May to June. Those in this post are specifically pink Japanese snowbells (Styrax japonicus 'Pink Chimes'). The flowers are pretty but Japanese snowbells also produce pretty fruits in autumn, which look like almond chocolates.

エゴノキは東アジア原産。日本全国で栽培されています。5月から6月に白やピンクの花を付けますが、ピンクの花を付けるものは特にベニハナエゴノキ（ピンクチャイム）と呼ばれます。鈴なりの花はもちろんかわいいのですが、秋に付ける実もアーモンドチョコみたいでかわいいですよ。
