The pretty color and shape of these fruits caught my eye!! This is euonymus hamiltonianus or Hamilton's spindletree.

The tree was a material of bows because its bending nature, so in Japan it's called "ma yumi." "Yumi" means bow.
Hamilton's spindletree's buds are tasty, eaten as tempura and by boiling, but its seeds contain a poisonous substance.
In Japan, "Mayumi" is a very common female name, so when seeing the tag below, I first didn't understand what it was... To me, it looked like a woman named Mayumi hung from a tree.....😱

向島百花園で見かけた檀（マユミ）です。赤く色づいている実が可愛いです。新芽は天ぷらやおひたしにするとおいしいらしいですが、種には毒が含まれているそうです。
最後の写真。最初それが木の名札だとは分かりませんでした。なんかまゆみさんが吊られてるように見えました｡｡｡😱（私だけだったらすみません🙇）
