I see flowers everyday, but most of them are dying or dead. Instead, I've seen many bugs recently, some also dead while others moving or eating ....
As I often say in other posts, I don't like bugs that much. I take photos of them because they're usually on or around flowers.
Caterpillars are called "Imo mushi," meaning "potato bug" or "tuber bug." I first thought that they are called as such because of their appearances, but I was wrong. Caterpillars are called "tuber bugs" because these bugs are often seen eating leaves of tubers, such as taro and sweet potatoes, traditionally very valuable food for Japanese people.
Caterpillars also remind me of a short story by Rampo Edogawa (1894 - 1965), a Japanese author and critic who played a major role in the development of Japanese mystery fiction. Except for what was written for children, Rampo's work, including "Imo mushi (The Caterpillar)," is grotesque and doesn't suit my taste, but is famous and very popular in Japan.
I now enjoy watching bugs, but am looking forward to seeing autumn flowers!!

最近目にする花がほとんど枯れていて少し悲しく思っていたら、代わりに、虫をよく見るようになりました。といってもいろいろです。１枚目と２枚目の蝶は死んでます。葉っぱにあの形でくっ付いていました。
３枚目と４枚目の芋虫くんはお引越しの途中だったようで、２メートル近い道を、えっちらおっちら横切っていました。無事に渡り切れたことを祈っています。最後はゴーヤの花で朝食中のアリ君（？）です。
虫を楽しみながら、秋の花を待ってる今日のこの頃です！
