Oshima cherry (Prunus speciosa) blossoms are white while Yoshino cherry (Prunus x yedoensis) blossoms are whitish pink, but do you know that there are yellow cherry blossoms?
These are one such blossoms, Ukon (Cerasus Sato-zakura Group ‘Grandiflora’ A. Wagner)!! I first knew about Ukon blossoms last year, so this year I've been observing their growth from pale green buds opening to pale yellow blossoms, turning reddish, and these fully blooming Ukon cherry blossoms conclude the cherry blossom season this year in my neighborhood (i.e., Tokyo).

大島桜は白（散り際はピンクっぽくなります）、染井吉野は薄いピンクですが、黄色の桜もいいですね。ウコン（鬱金）です。去年初めて知り、今年は蕾からずっと観察してました。これでうちの近所の桜もほぼ終わりです。
