Flowering Dogwood (Cornus Florida) 花水木（ハナミズキ）

Flowering dogwood has started to flower!! They're beautiful but also remind me of mandu dumplings😋

The cream white things that look like flower petals are actually bracts. The petals are tiny greenish yellow objects protruding from the center of the flowers.

花水木が咲き始めました。とってもきれいですが、饅頭餃子に見えるのは私だけでしょうか😋 ちなみに蕾といいましたが花弁に見えるのは総苞。花びらは中心部の緑の突起部分です。
