Magnolia Heptapeta (White Magnolia) 白木蓮（ハクモクレン）

This is magnolia heptapeta, lilytree or Yulan magnolia. The white color against the blue sky is so beautiful!!

I've found white magnolia trees in the neighborhood for the first time since I moved to this area, which means I haven't noticed their presence for more than ten years. How didn't I see them before??? 

There are two places where magnolia trees are planted, and the flowers in one place are mostly in full bloom while those in the other place are all buds yet... I wasn't able to find any reason which may cause such a big difference. 

I remember now seeing deep purple magnolia last April!! If you want to see that, read this!

今の家に引っ越してきて10年以上経ちますが白木蓮が咲いていたなんて全く気付きませんでした。ある木はほぼ満開なのに別の場所の木はまだ蕾。不思議です。

去年の春、紫木蓮を見かけたことを思い出しました。紫木蓮はこちらです！
