英語の後に日本語が続きます。
I've seen usual and variegated Japanese camellias many times but have got one for the first time! That day, I went out to check up on Japanese cornel buds open and then on my way home I saw a woman taking care of Japanese camellia trees with blooms. They're so gorgeous that without thinking, I said hello to her and that they were magnificent. She smiled but politely said not so much, going on to say that she should have taken care of them more, but clearly she was so proud of them, asking me if I wanted to have one, which is the bloom in the first photo.
That was Sunday.

白とピンクの斑入り椿です。山茱萸の蕾の様子を見に出かけた帰りに、女性が椿の木の手入れをしているのを見かけたのですが、その椿があまりに見事で思わず「こんにちは。見事ですね」と声をかけてしまいました。しばらく話していたら、その方が、「1つ持って帰る？」と聞いてくださり、二つ返事で「はい！」。今、私の部屋に鎮座ましましています。それが日曜日のことです。
