Daphne Odora Var. ‘Alba,’ 白花沈丁花

This is daphne odora var. ‘Alba,’ different from usual daphne odora or winter daphne, whose flowers are pink.

Both daphnes are super fragrant! 沈丁花も白花沈丁花もどちらもいい匂い！

According to Wikipedia, daphne has about 100 types (wow!), of which I've only seen two, daphne odora, whose flower is pink, and daphne odora var. 'Alba,' whose flower is cream white. Whoops, I was wrong because both flowers are double colored, i.e., the petals of daphne odora are white on the frontside while the backside is pink, and the petals of daphne odora 'Alba' are also white on the frontside but their backside being cream white. I didn't notice that....😱

Another type of daphne, daphne pseudomezereum, has flowers in pale green yellow and it's in Koishikawa Botanical Garden, to which I've been once, which made me immediately decide to go to the garden again to see the green yellow daphne. The problem is that the state of emergency is scheduled to be lifted on March 7 but I think that will and should be extended.

白花沈丁花です。ピンクの沈丁花しか見たことがなかったので新鮮でした。でも調べたら沈丁花は100種類近くあるんです！そのうち私が見たのは2種類。は～｡｡｡

しかも沈丁花って花弁の裏表で色が違うんですね。普通の沈丁花は表が白で裏がピンク。白花沈丁花は表が白で裏がクリーム。知らなかった～😱

黄花沈丁花が小石川植物園にあることが分かったので緊急事態宣言が明けたら見てきます。でも3月7日に解除されるんでしょうか。というかしていいんでしょうか。ダメでしょ！
